Dee Tune - Nominating for President and General Committee.
I’ve been involved with CHMCC since 2011 and on the committee for several years now. Working across both CHMCC and CHATS as a performer, and director, as well as backstage and Front of House, I’m committed to our theatre community in the Coffs Coast region. During my involvement with CHATS and CHMCC, I’ve experienced the joy, friendship and general camaraderie of putting on a show and I want others to feel that same inclusiveness and fun. I want people to discover the amazing friendships that happen when you do shows together. I want people to feel respected, welcomed and valued for who they are. I want us to always keep the phrase “every decision we make is for the benefit of the company” in our minds when we’re navigating all the various issues. We need to honour and learn from the past while we embrace and plan for the future and I’m still excited to hopefully continue to be part of that.

I am a passionate and dedicated theatre enthusiast with a diverse range of experience in various aspects of theatrical production. I had the privilege of co-directing "School of Rock" in May 2023 alongside Rebecca Nicholson, which was a rewarding and creatively fulfilling endeavour. My involvement in theatre extends to stage management, where I have managed productions such as "Twisted," "Wizard of Oz YPE," "Rouge: Diamond Cabaret," and "ATOMIC." Additionally, I have contributed backstage to the successful productions of "Into the Woods" and "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert."
My commitment to theatre also includes roles in front of house operations, where I have worked for "Mamma Mia" and will be continuing this role for the upcoming November show, "We Will Rock You." I have also ushered for various productions, including "Back to the Theatre," "Into the Woods," and CHATS' production of "Steel Magnolias."
As a dedicated member of the Coffs Harbour Musical Comedy Company (CHMCC) since 2021, I have served on the committee since the same year and have held the position of Secretary since 2022. My on-stage performances include roles in CHATS' show "CLUE" and WPAS's shows "Naughty or Nice" and "Heartbreak Mixtape." I am also excited to be performing in the upcoming WPAS Seniors and Adult TPP show based on the musicals of Lin and Lloyd.
I wish to be a committee member because I believe in giving back to the community through fostering accessibility and accountability. My varied experiences and unwavering commitment to the arts have equipped me with the skills and insights needed to contribute meaningfully to any theatrical project.

Lorena Dalton - Nominating for General Committee
I have been a member of CHMCC since 2021 when I became a Covid Marshal for Mamma Mia. I absolutely loved helping out, so I then moved on to being a props manager for a few shows and I have also helped backstage, and have run Front of House. I really enjoy being involved behind the scenes and helping anyone that may need it. I would love to join the committee so I can help with different things and be involved more. Thank you, Lorena Dalton.
Rebecca Nicholson - Nominating for General Committee
Hi! My name is Bec.
I am a qualified primary school teacher and teach performing arts at a local school. I have previously owned and operated my own dance studio, Beyond Dance Sawtell, and taught at Harbour Performing Arts Centre for 8 years. I have directed and produced several musicals within the school environment. I am very excited to share my love of the performing arts with others.
More recently, I have volunteered my time as a production assistant/crew boss on CHMCC’s Wizard of Oz and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I also volunteered for the Coffs Harbour Conservatorium of Music's Frozen Jr. as a production/sound assistant and worked as a production assistant on Naidu Theatre Company’s Rouge Diamond Cabaret Club. In May 2021, I was the co-director of School of Rock. Additionally, I was one of the set builders for Jersey Boys. I have found a passion for set and sound design and am excited to work with the production crew to bring We Will Rock You to the next level as the Assistant Director for the November 2024 show.
For me, theatre is not only a connection to music but also a connection to the community. I value an inclusive and supportive environment for all involved so they can feel confident to reach greatness both individually and collectively. By working hard and dedicating yourself, we will be able to put on a show that is pure magic.

Thomas Fry - Nominating for General Committee
I see the stage as the ultimate therapy and escape from the daily grind and struggles of the real world. I absolutely love the feeling of performing. Though I only recently returned to the stage after a 10-year hiatus, I've been fortunate to perform in many productions in Coffs Harbour. Some notable roles include Tom in "Away," the Casting Director in "Bad Auditions for Bad Actors," Theseus in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” and Trekkie Monster in "Avenue Q" for CHATS. I've also played Billy in “The Simple Gift" with Bootlace Productions, Achmed in “Twisted" with H.I.T. Media Productions, and Malik in “The Rouge Diamond Cabaret Club.”
One of my more unique experiences was performing as Bustopher Jones in “Cats” with Naidu Theatre and taking on my first drag role at the Storyland Festival, also with Naidu Theatre. More recently, I appeared as Leo in “Atomic” with CHMCC. I have also volunteered backstage and assisted with bump-in and bump-out for several CHMCC productions, such as Priscilla and School of Rock.
The stage has always been a place where I feel at home, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a vibrant community.

Hi my name is Tom and I have had the privilege of serving on the committee of CHMCC for the past two years, where I have gained invaluable experience and contributed to our theatre community's growth and success.
As a performer, I have had the joy of portraying diverse roles in CHMCC’s productions. I played The Baker in the May 2021 production of Into the Woods, a role that challenged me and expanded my acting abilities. In May 2023, I had the thrilling experience of playing Dewey Finn in School of Rock, a role that required high energy and showcased my musical talents. Currently, I am rehearsing for the role of Galileo in the upcoming November production of We Will Rock You, and I am excited to bring this character to life on stage.
My involvement with CHMCC extends beyond performing onstage; I have also dedicated time to helping backstage and with set building for various shows over the last few years. Notably, I was the Assistant Musical Director and played in the band for our November 2023 production of Atomic. This experience allowed me to blend my passion for music and theatre.
I am passionate about continuing my involvement with CHMCC and am committed to helping put on the best musicals possible. I look forward to contributing my skills and enthusiasm to our theatre group’s future endeavours.
